Welcome to STA347. This is a first course in probability with an
introduction to elementary stochastic processes. It requires 2nd year
calculus, linear algebra as well as a 2nd year course in statistics
similar to STA257/247 . Please see the Calendar for more details.
Assignments Some suggested problems,
solutions and an assignment which must be handed in at the beginning of
class on July 22New. This assignment
will be worth 15% of your grade.
July 3 - 1st lecture (posted) July 16 - Assignment/take-home posted
@ 11PM on this site. Important : A paper version will
NOT be distributed. July 22 - Hand in assignment to
the TA in class at 6:10 before the lecture.
July 24 - Assignment/take-home returned to students in class at 6:10
before the lecture. Should there be a delay in marking it will be
handed back by July 29 and instructions for collection will be posted
here.
July 29 - Drop date. July 31 - 2- hour test
