  • Statistical theory; mathematical statistics; nonparametrics & asymptotics.
  • Transform methods in statistics; applications of wavelets & Fourier analysis; empirical characteristic functions; saddlepoint approximations; deconvolution problems; signal & image processing.
  • Spectral analysis of time series; inference in stochastic processes; inference for the Stable Laws.
  • Statistical inverse problems: computerized tomography (CT, PET); random coefficient regression; stereology.
  • Other research interests include: the analysis of nonstandard data; analysis of computer simulation models; the bootstrap; testing dependence; nonparametric density estimation; Value-at-Risk and other statistical problems of investment and finance.
